William G. Caldwell, 50, of Westford, MA was charged by Southold Town Police with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor; speeding, having an open container of an alcoholic beverage and refusing a roadside breath test after he was pulled over at 11:25 p.m. Saturday night on County Road 48 at Cox Neck Road in Mattituck.
Police said Mr. Caldwell was stopped for a traffic violation and found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters for processing then held overnight for arraignment.
